The Measure of Man
Playing the Game: Test Difficulty
Not all tests are equal. Setting a melta bomb on a stationary bunker and placing the same bomb on a moving battle tank while under fire may both require Demolition Tests, but the latter is clearly harder than the former.
In most cases, the GM (me) will lead a test’s description with the difficulty of the test , and how it affects the roll (like this: Difficult (-10) Willpower Test). On rare occasions the difficulty will remain a secret until a roll has been made, the Battle-Brother unable to judge the difficulty at first glance. Below is a table describing how difficulty affects tests.
